Frans Verheyen - "Master of Merkplas"

At the age of 85 years Frans, known as The keeper of the Hofkens" has won himself 3 Olympiad Gold Medals. These birds are the base strain for many top lofts world wide& are becoming more popular by demand. Frans himself still manages on average twenty first prizes every year but more importantly people such as Mike Ganus(GFL & Syndicate Lofts) are regular purchasers from Frans Verheyen. Verheyen bloodlines figure in many of these top lofts' pedigrees. World famous Ad Schaerlaeckens states in his book that one on his best birds came from Verheyen & these bloodlines are still in his loft today.

In the last two years there has been a small draft of Frans Verheyen stock brought into the UK. Without exception, they have won & bred birds to win in every loft they were introduced.
